Award Categories

This year’s contest offers the following 4 award categories:

CGA of BC, Business Concept Award:

This award will be given to one top contestant who is in the beginning stages of starting a business. The award recipient will have demonstrated a viable and comprehensive business plan as well as succeeded in presenting a quick and concise business pitch to the judging panel. TELUS, Business Growth Award:

This award will be given to one top contestant who is currently operating a business. The award recipient will have a comprehensive business plan and be ready to explore opportunities for expansion and growth; as well as, succeeded in presenting a quick and concise business pitch to the judging panel. TD, Small Business Champion Award

This award will be given to the nominee who has demonstrated a commitment to promoting small business in their community and/or B.C., including volunteering time and services to small business interests and groups, advocating the cause of small business in the legislative process. WorkSafeBC, Company of the Year Award

This award will be is given to the nominee who best demonstrates outstanding leadership in the workplace and in the community; understands the value of their customer and their employees, while making a positive impact on the well-being of their employees and their community. Entry Requirment: NOMINATION FORM. Read Rules

The Contest is hosted by Small Business BC.

-Open to ALL BC based businesses (large & small)
-Nominations open Fall 2010
-Nominations & applications will be accepted online
-Only finalists will be notified
-Awards Ceremony held in Spring of 2011 - Vancouver
